Sober

Sober has matured into a talented useful partner. He reads and covers his stock well. During an intermediate time when I was training other dogs but had nothing ready to trial I pulled Sober out and as a result he qualified for Finals on Cattle and Ducks. Too bad I didn't enter him in sheep as well. This was done at our own trials here in MI and one outside trial. He was also used this summer by a Novice handler and continued to mind his manners and they both did a very nice job.

Sober has done very well beginning his trialing career. He placed 1st in started ducks and cattle at the National Pre-Trial and placed 2nd in started ducks, 3rd in started sheep and 4th in started cattle in the Nationals trial. High scores of 90 on cattle, 93 on sheep and a 97 on ducks. He is just as natural in his talents at home.

In addition to his working abilities his temperament is great. He is good with puppies, caring about lambs yet willing to handle cattle. He is friendly and mannerly with other dogs and people without being obtrusive. This dog is a pleasure to work with. He has natural style to build on and is extremely biddable.
